The Team at the Chartwell Practice are our greatest asset. We believe that the key to a successful and productive business is a happy work force. One of our mottos here is “serious stuff in a fun way” and we try to ensure that we support each other in enjoying our work too.   • Steven Bourne

    Steven Bourne - Partner

    "Steve is one of the two founder partners of The Chartwell Practice and has over 35 years’ experience in working with clients to help them to get the best out of their business. He is the Managing Partner of the Practice which means running our business as well as dealing with both existing and potential clients. Steve is married with two daughters and enjoys family time as well as most sports particularly football being a lifelong supporter of Leicester City. "

  • Frank Startin

    Frank Startin - Partner

    "Frank is one of the two founder partners of the Chartwell Practice. He is our Business Development partner and as such enjoys marketing and promoting the Practice and also sharing those ideas with our business clients too. Frank particularly specialises in strategic business planning, coaching & mentoringbusiness people to achieve success in their businesses and their lives. Frank is married with one son and enjoys gardening."

  • Martin Chilver

    Martin Chilver - Partner

    "In 2006 Martin became the third partner of the practice. Martin is the Chartwell Practice Tax Expert specialising in helping us to deliver the very best tax advice and wealth planning service to our clients. He also has particular expertise in business acquisition &restructuring, preparing businesses for sale and planning for exit or retirement. Martin is married with two sons and enjoys football refereeing."

  • Anna Stubbs

    Anna Stubbs - Tax and Accounts Assistant

    "Anna has worked for the practice to market & promote our services to clients since we started. Anna now manages and runs our tax department and is responsible for helping clients to gather their information to submit to HMRC to meet their deadlines. Anna is married with two sons and enjoys being with her family, going for a run and making cakes."

  • Caroline Skivington

    Caroline Skivington - Receptionist and Administrator

    "Caroline is our practice Receptionist &Administrator and has been welcoming and assisting our clients as part of our team since 2003. She is at the forefront of our business beingthe first point of contact in helping to deliver our “moments of truth” to everyone that comes into contact with us. Caroline likes vegetarian food, has two grown up children and enjoys running in her spare time. "

  • Alison Jowett

    Alison Jowett - Reception and Marketing Administrative Assistant

    "Alison joined our team in early 2016 and helps Caroline in assisting our clients and supporting our team here. She also assists in marketing the practice and in organising and running seminars and events. Alison is married with two sons. She enjoys baking, walking and going to the theatre. "

  • Joe Dimambro

    Joe Dimambro - Accounts & Client Support Manager

    " Joe is one of the managers of our accounting and client support team. He has been with the practice since 2005 and is one of our key contacts for meeting clients to prepare accounts and to field queries in all things accounting and finance concerned with running a successful business. Joe is married with two children. In his “spare” time he enjoys playing golf and following football. "

  • Justine Taylor

    Justine Taylor - Qualified Accounting Technician

    "Justine achieved her AAT qualification in 2014 and now uses all of that knowledge to help our clients in producing management figures and year end accounts with the minimum of hassle. Justine is also one of our Xero Cloud accounting experts and has already helped many clients to use cloud accounting to save time in their businesses. "

  • Rebecca Hayles

    Rebecca Hayles – Accountancy Apprentice

    "Becky joined the practice in August 2016 and is our latest apprentice who is working towards her qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians at Burton and South Derbyshire College.Becky’s hobbies and interests include going to the cinema, shopping, clay pigeon shooting,spending time with family and friends and looking after three dogs at home. "

  • Kate Bourne

    Kate Bourne - Head of Chartwell Legal Services

    " Kate is an AAT qualified accounting technician in our accounts department team and has beenwith the practice since we started in 1999. Kate is a trained Barristers Intermediary and now heads up Chartwell Legal Services in association with the Legal Services Guild.She is married with two daughters, she likes the Arts and sport, especially equestrianism, rugby union and cricket. "

  • Lauren Guyler

    Lauren Guyler - Chartered Accountant & Client Manager

    " Lauren completed her accountancy apprenticeship with us, qualified as an accounting technician before going on qualifyas a Chartered Accountant in 2016. In that role Lauren is also one of our managers within our accounts and client support team bringing a wealth of knowledge from her studying and her time with us in helping businesses over the years.Lauren deservedly won the Young Employee of the Year in the 2013 Burton Business Awards. When she is not studying, Lauren enjoys keeping fit, walking her dog, cooking & reading. "

  • Robert Bowley

    Robert Bowley - Accounts and Clients Support

    " Robert has worked in our accounts department team almost since we started, joining us in 2000. Robert’s speciality is in helping a broad spectrum of our clients with anything and everything to do with producing financial records and figures for companies and small businesses. Robert has three sons and loves music and football. "

  • Sandra Roberts

    Sandra Roberts

    "Sandra is in charge of our payroll department, and has been working with the practice since 2006. Sandra is fully qualified with the Institute of Payroll Professionals and ensures that our clients’ payrolls are done on time, meet all the requirements of RTI and auto enrolment so that they are fully compliant without hassle or fuss. She has three children and when she is not being 'Mum's Taxi Service' for the cricket and football matches, enjoys cooking and gardening. "

  • Mrs Ann Dutton – Marketing Executive

    "Ann joined us in 2016 as part of our new Marketing Campaign Team and she has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and customer service. Her role involves leading our Marketing Campaigns and identifying and targeting businesses that will most benefit from The Chartwell Practice’s experience. Outside of work, Ann’s 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 4 Labradors seem to take up most of her leisure time! "
